Now that the sun has hit the thermometer in my backyard it's reading 108 - I don't think it's really 108 outside, but the direct sunlight on the copper back of the thermometer is causing it to read a bit high - it's probably only 99 out there. I had the thermostat in the house set to 76, which it hit around 1:00pm (not too bad, since it was 73 in the house when I got up around 6:00am). Yesterday, as I was doing my weekly* practicing, I noticed that my reeds seemed to dry out a little faster (although that might've been my imagination).

* Just kidding! Sheesh, you think I'd drive a minivan all the way down to Willow Glen in traffic with $4/gallon gas after only one practice session? I put in a good 12 minutes on Monday, too. :)
