I’m a Top Chef fan. I love that show. It nearly makes me want to cook. Not quite, but close. Mostly, of course, it makes me want to eat!
But yikes! I just saw a commercial where Padma Lakshmi is advertising Carl’s Jr..
Really?! Sigh. How disappointing.
Mostly I’m now waiting for Project Runway. Yes. I’m that shallow. I like Top Chef and Project Runway.
And you thought I was all oboe, all the time. Hah!
I saw that commercial too, and had the exact same reaction. Padma! Fast food?! Really?!
(Not that I don’t eat fast food from time to time, I do. But I expect more from my culinary icons.)
I know it’s about the money, and I suppose everyone needs to make $$ … but, sigh, it was disappointing. When TC comes back I’ll just visualize her eating a Carl’s Jr. burger now. :-(
I saw something about this on another site, and apparently in her cookbook, Padma confessed to a huge love of bacon cheeseburgers. So maybe the ad really isn’t all that far out.
Hmm. Well, okay then. Being a person who doesn’t eat bacon or beef, I can’t relate, but … to quote students … whatever! Oh. Wait. These days it’s “It’s all good.”
