I don’t always care for flashmobs, but when they are done well they are so much fun!
I first met Lynne Cohen when I was playing Hans Christian Anderson which was being conducted by her husband Constantine Kitsopoulos. He had told me his wife played oboe … way to make me even more nervous! But she was lovely and very gracious. We met up again when we did the recording of Baz Luhrmann’s La Boheme when I was playing principal oboe and she played English horn. Up until now I hadn’t heard her students. Wow … I’m impressed!
“It’s supposed to be fun. The man says ‘play ball’ not ‘work ball’ you know.”
-Willie Stargell
And I play oboe, not work oboe, as Dan just reminded me.
Clearly he’s never tackled the oboe!
The [name here] house is turning into the woodwind geek house. [name here] practicing oboe downstairs (startedMonday) [name here] practicing clarinet upstairs(her first marching show as a freshman). I have to say its pretty cool!
Woop! Oboe student and a flute student :D officially a music teacher!!
